10 Places You MUST See On Your USA Spring Break.

Somehow I have a strong feeling that after this year’s too long and too cold winter most of us are waiting for spring like a kid for a Christmas present. Spring break seems like the perfect time to charge our batteries. Let me show you some places you MUST visit.

1. Highway 1, California.

Highway 1 along the Big Sur coastline is one of the more dangerous stretches of highway in California. The highway has lots of sharp and blind turns so remember to pay special attention to the varying speed limit signs posted right before turns.

But who wouldn’t want to be like Tony Stark speeding on Highway 1 in his white Audi R8 spyder…

2. French Quarter, New Orleans.

There are tourist traps that any first-timer to New Orleans must experience. You can’t go to New Orleans without at least one visit to Pat O’Briens, one trip to a sleazy strip club and stopping to watch one street performer for more that ten minutes.

3. Pearl Harbour, Oahu, Hawaii.

A visit to the USS Arizona Memorial is a solemn and sobering experience, even for those who were not alive when the attack occurred. You are literally standing over a grave site where 1177 men lost their lives for their country.

4. Fenway Park, Boston, Massachusetts.

I’m wondering if there are any people in USA that do not watch baseball (I wouldn’t be surprised though, I heard it’s an extremely boring sport). If you’re one of them – bad news. You must go to a baseball game at least once in your life. Why is Fenway Park a prefect place for that? Because it’s the oldest Major League Baseball stadium currently in use. Of course you’ll need a place to celebrate a Red Sox victory; Cask-N-Flagon behind the Green Monster is a favorite of Red Sox fans.

5. Grand Canyon, Arizona.

Aside from casual sightseeing from the South Rim, rafting, hiking, running and helicopter tours are especially popular. In October 2010 the North Rim was the host to an ultramarathon. The Grand Canyon Ultra Marathon was a 126 km race over 24 hours.

6. Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming.

Yellowstone National Park is the centerpiece of the 20 million acre/Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, a region that includes Grand Teton National Park, adjacent National Forests and expansive wilderness areas in those forests. And don’t forget – Yellowstone is the home of “smarter than the av-er-age bear!” Yogi Bear

7. Nashville, Tennessee.

It is most notably known as the center of the music industry, earning it the nickname “Music City”. Miley Cyrus was born in Nashville. Not star enough? June Carter Cash lived and died in that city. How is that for a reason to visit?

8. New York City.

9. Hollywood Walk of Fame, Los Angeles, California.

Of all the stars on the Walk to date, 47% have been awarded in the motion pictures category, 24% in television, 17% in audio recording, 10% in radio, and less than 2% in the live performance category. Approximately twenty new stars are added to the Walk each year. Do number matter? No! Mickey Mouse’s star matters! That’s something I want to see!

10. Las Vegas Strip, Las Vegas, Nevada.

One of the most visible aspects of Las Vegas’ cityscape is its use of dramatic architecture. The modernization of hotels, casinos, restaurants, and residential high-rises on the Strip has established the city as one of the most popular destinations for tourists.

When visiting for the first time it is best to start your first walk down the Las Vegas Strip near the south end of the Las Vegas Strip where the foot traffic will gradually get busier. It will help you avoid the shock and enjoy your stay
