Adam Goodes Brushes Off Retirement Chat And Will Return To Footy

    Literally some Goodes news.

After some overwhelming support from Australia (and the AFL community) over the last week, Swans player Adam Goodes has brushed aside retirement talk and will return to training tomorrow.

The great news was delivered by Swans coach John Longmire and tweeted by the team on Monday.

Longmire: I spoke to Adam late yesterday afternoon and he will return to training tomorrow.

Goodes was given "indefinite leave" after the booing controversy reached peak insanity last week.

Longmire: He was humbled by the support he had over the weekend and he is grateful for the support from the football community.

And there were some concernes from the AFL community that it might force him into retirement.

Longmire: Adam wants to get back to training and playing, the things he really enjoys doing.

Footy fans showed up in force for the two-time Brownlow medallist over the weekend. It's not yet known whether Goodesy will play this round against the Cats in Geelong this weekend.

But seeing him back in training will be a sight to see.
