Two High School Students’ Haunting Cover of Neko Case’s “Star Witness” is a YouTube Hit That May Save School
Hours after the video was posted on YouTube, Neko Case tweeted, “Wow. That just made me bawl my eyes out. What beautiful singers. I’m not worthy… Holy god.”. When news of the upcoming closure of their former high school (Peterborough Collegiate Vocational School in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada) the recent grads, Kate MacDonald and Janelle Blanchard, took to YouTube. The video was recorded in November on the school’s stairwell and is a ridiculously haunting cover of Neko Case’s “Star Witness”. Totally worth a view, just be sure to have some tissues near by - total tear jerker.
