10 Times it Becomes Very Apparent That You’re a Senior

    Even though you’re in denial.

    1. When you have to hold back laughter because a little freshman walks into your French class, sits down, then leaves after 5 minutes because she realized that it wasn’t her class.

    2. When you find yourself sitting on the couch watching Friends and eating a microwavable meal instead of going out on a Thursday night.

    3. When, by some grace of God, the waiter doesn’t ask for your ID after you order a drink with your dinner.

    4. When you continually avoid the emails that career services keeps sending you about upcoming job fairs and on-campus interviews.

    5. When you’re driving through downtown on a weeknight and you have to fight the urge to pull over and tell the underclassmen falling out of their wedges to reevaluate their life choices.

    6. When you freak the hell out while sending emails because you realize that the word “senior” is under your name in the university address book.

    7. When you-against your better judgment-end up in a frat house and cringe as soon as you realize that all the guys hitting on you are 18 years old.

    8. When you’re in line outside one of the bars that don’t ask for two forms of ID and everyone trying to get in ahead of you is a sophomore or junior.

    9. When your advisor tells you during the first week of school that you have to submit your graduation application in ten days.

    10. When you’re sitting on the couch watching lip sync battles with your best friends on a Saturday night and realize that a year from now, you’ll all be living in different cities and spontaneous potluck nights won’t be possible.

But, at the end of the day, at least you can take refuge in the fact that you have eight months left with these freaks, and they’re going to ensure that these are the best times of your life.
