Embracing our primitive nature by gathering around fire. And everyone loves a good campfire sing-a-long!

9. Unplugging

Appreciate the opportunity to step away from the screen. Try not to answer emails or play games.

But DO take pictures. Use Instagram to share your weekend memories with the group using #PTBEfamilyfun

8. The Beach

The beach will be open during our free time for sandcastles, tanning, maybe even swimming. Wear sunscreen and always be supervised by an adult

7. Observing Flora and Fauna

Fancy words for seeing new plants and animals. Feel free to hike around on LABELED TRAILS ONLY. If you go off trail, you could be ticketed. And on behalf of Asilomar, DO NOT TOUCH or FEED ANIMALS. You've been warned.

6. Yummy Kosher Style Food!

No matter what your practices are at home, when Jews get together, we like to eat Kosher style. At breakfast, please make appropriate choices and avoid the bacon. The food at Asilomar is good and plentiful but if you need something special, just ask!

5. Asilomar is Awesome!

In your free time, take advantage of everything of everything this "Refuge by the Sea" has to offer: Swimming, volleyball court, pool table, cafe, hikes, and sand dunes.

4. Celebrating Shabbat

Your rabbis have prepared some special time to connect with our tradition, nature, and God. Why pray in the sanctuary when we can pray on the beach!

3. Bedtime Sh'ma and Lilah tov!

Get sung to sleep every night by your clergy. And please be considerate of your neighbors and other guests. Quiet time at Asilomar is from 10:00pm-7:00am.

2. Meaningful Family Time

There will be times for kids to be together and time for adults to be together, but most importantly we want families to connect with one another. If we ask families to sit together or talk together, take advantage!
