This tat was a striking idea. The stump is a fine one and the tat finishes it to a “T.”

That is the raddest tattoo ever.
Am I the only one who thought about how painful that would be? Tattoos hurt, major surgery scar tissue is always weirdly sensitive, and the combination kinda turns my stomach.
In fact there are numerous types of a irony. From wikipedia: (if you trust that source) “Situational irony is the disparity of intention and result: when the result of an action is contrary to the desired or expected effect.” I would argue that the unintentional humor arises not from the man, but from the shark that [presumably] bit off his arm. The shark did not intend to leave him with that cool stump. The act of getting that tattoo is not ironic, but it is ironic that the shark bite led to this strange outcome.
This person has a great sense of humor.
Ouch, harsh. (the grammar schooling, not the shark bite)
Not irony, so much as it is being able to “laugh it off”
oh man
Cool tattoo, but please allow me to be the first to observe that intentional irony necessary fails, since irony entails a result opposite of that which was intended. (So, e.g., “ironic” hipsters only succeed in mocking themselves.) Oh, and this tattoo clearly wasn't even intended to be ironic, so please use the dictionary before your next Digg headline re-post.
cool
