Here's What Happens When UT Graduates Have Their Commencement Cancelled

Texas weather, as always, had a mind of its own this weekend, leaving thousands of University of Texas graduates heartbroken when their university-wide graduation was cancelled. What happened next, however, was simply longhorn pride... for all the PCL all-nighters, Texas football game-going, and the four-year wait for this graduation moment.

Spending four years (or five) to receive this email.... the glorious light at the end of PCL all-nighters.

Because after all, you've made a few friends, had a few beers, accepted a few loans, and now it's time to earn a few degrees.

But Texas weather decides otherwise.... THERE YOU GO BREAKING UT GRADUATES' HEARTS.

Sorry #UT grads, obscure state law requires that if commencement is canceled, you start over as a freshman. Bummer.

UT graduation hasn't been cancelled for 138 years but of course mine is cancelled.

Then, the amazing happens....officially graduating at an unofficial ceremony.

A student-led commencement, by yours truly, UT class of 2015.

    From the stage rehearsal....

... to finding a commencement speaker, alright, alright, alright.

@McConaughey We'd be alright alright alright if you could speak to us at our student-led make up commencement tonight! Hook 'em \m/

Class of 2015, you EARNED YOUR HORNS! ....because President Powers says so.

Tonight, what started at UT was changed by the class of 2015.

And it sure as heck wasn't stopped by rain.

    Or any water.............

The University of Texas at Austin class of 2015 will go down in history. \m/

Hook 'em, horns! Go out and change the world! \m/
