Newsflash: Not All Conservatives Are Haters

There are some things that get pushed under the rug during the back and forth of a big election. All the mud slingin’ is just getting everybody dirty. I am trying to stop all the stereotypes so we can focus on the politics.

Republicans have been typecasting Democrats as hysterical, anti-all relgion and socialist. Dems have been characterized Republicans as gun toting, greedy and haters. I propose that both of these descriptions are wrong in most cases (each side has a few crazies mixed in.)

The fiscal conservatives (like me) believe in small government. That means that they want the federal government to stay out of people’s lives; they focus a lot on personal liberty. I believe that very idea also means that the government has no right to tell somebody who they can marry. Any federal law that regulates marriage rights is against the very principle that Conservatives fight for.

Fight the good fight! Don’t sling mud, you’ll just get dirty. Take the high road and use their own words to make the case!
