So starting with the obvious stuff...
1. The title of each show is a lead character's name/nickname.
2. The title characters are both writers.
3. The other lead characters both work in law enforcement.
4. The story lines of both shows revolve around the two lead characters solving murder mysteries together.
5. Brennan and Castle both write novels based on their crime solving experiences and base the characters in their novels on their friends/coworkers.
6. Their novels are both made into movies.
7. Brennan and Castle both dedicate one of their novels to their respective partner in crime (solving).
8. Both Brennan and Beckett had some f*cked-up shit happen to their family during their childhood, which eventually motivated them to pursue their respective career.
9. Also, both Brennan and Beckett had some kind of weird sexual relationship with their old mentors.
Okay, now we're getting to the good stuff: nearly identical scenarios that happened in both shows! Such as...
10. An upper class prep school boy is murdered by his friends, some upper class prep school homicidal dickheads.
11. Booth/Castle orders a call girl so that he can question her about a case.
12. When Brennan/Beckett is in danger, Booth/Castle stays in her apartment to protect her.
13. Later, some crazy hit men dudes bomb Brennan/Beckett's apartment in an attempt to kill her.
14. A murder occurs in a secret underground tunnel because some fancy treasure was discovered.
15. A victim is found with a charm in their mouth, indicating that the killer practiced voodoo.
16. The team investigates the case of a missing child but discovers that the child was kidnapped by a member of their family so that one parent could raise them without the other parent.
17. An Asian girl is murdered because she was somehow involved with counterfeit handbag stuff.
18. An Arab man is suspected of being a terrorist, but the team discovers that he was actually just framed to look like the bomber.
19. A killer stages murders just like in the novel(s) by Brennan/Castle.
20. Brennan/Castle worries that the victims wouldn't have died if it weren't for her/his novels.
21. The team figures out that multiple killers traded victims with each other so that they would each have an alibi for the murder of the person they actually wanted dead.
22. The two lead characters team up with an inspector from Scotland Yard in order to solve the murder of a British victim.
23. The butler did it! And Booth/Castle is totes giddy about this cliche turn of events.
24. Brennan/Castle is framed by a crazy smart but also pretty goddamn psychopathic murderer.
25. A victim is discovered dressed as Santa Claus.
26. While solving a case, the two lead characters end up having to take care of a baby.
27. Some f*cked-up lunatic leaves a skeleton/body outside of Brennan/Beckett's house.
28. A murder occurs on a plane and the team has to find the killer before the plane lands.
