What this person doesn't realize is that anything with grease soaked into it (especially the bottom of pizza boxes) isn't recyclable. Everything that pizza touches has to get thrown away, and if he does make the mistake to recycle it, that whole batch is contaminated and is usually thrown away. At most, he's saving water, but at the expense for trees. It's not eco at all. Convenient, yes. Especially for a college student that doesn't want to do dishes.
