Matt Bomer Shut Down A Question About Gay Stereotypes Like A True Badass

"Why would I ever try to boil down an entire community into a yes or no question?"

Matt Bomer and Donald Glover are currently promoting their latest movie, Magic Mike XXL.

But when Hola Hollywood reporter Dulce Osuna interviewed the stars this week she decided to zone in on the "gay community" who watch the film.

Osuna asked Bomer, who is gay: "This is a movie to please women, but also the gay community. Are they harder to please?"

Bomer, however, wasn't overly impressed with the question and immediately shut it down, calling the interviewer out for being sterotypical.

    And made this good point.

"Get rid of the labels." Perfectly handled, Bomer.

I don't know. Why would I ever try to boil down an entire community into a yes or no question? Would you feel comfortable if I said 'Are women harder or easier to please?' One of the things, I think, you learn from this movie is that everyone is different. It's all about communication and a dialogue between individuals – get rid of the labels, get rid of the shame, get rid of the stigmas and just be your most authentic self.
