I don’t mind the male-centricism—when more women have written better books than they typically do, we can give them equal space. Iresent the idea that inferior books belong on the list out ofaneed for “diversity”. Jane Austen belongs on the list, the Twilight person is luckyaband of critics isn’t outside her house with torches and pitchforks. My problem is that the list seems likeafly caught in hippie/beatnik amber from the 60s. Mostly overrated.
