On Dec. 10, Morpheus, NASA's prototype lander, launched itself 50 feet into the air...
Hovered there for about 15 seconds...
And made it back down, landing on its pad 23 feet from where it launched, all in one piece.
Which doesn't sound like a huge feat — until you look at what happened in the lander's first untethered test flight last year.
