17 Reasons Why Robert Sarvis Should Be The Future Governor Of Virginia

With so much mud slinging and negative ads hitting the airwaves everyday in Virginia, the race between Republican Ken Cuccinelli and Democrat Terry McAuliffe is kind of a joke. It will make you not even want to vote come November 5th. But there is a bright spot in this year's negative race—the Libertarian candidate for Governor, Robert Sarvis. There are many reasons to support Robert Sarvis but here are 17 of them.

    1. Unlike Cuccinelli and McAuliffe, he was actually born in Virginia

    2. He has earned degrees in mathematics from Harvard University and the University of Cambridge, a J.D. from N.Y.U. School of Law and a Master's in economics from George Mason University

    3. Drives his own Dodge Grand Caravan to events and campaign stops

    4. Wants to empower teachers and parents with school choice, not local politicians and bureaucrats

    5. He supports Constitutional freedoms

    6. Wants a 21st-century transportation policy that's built to last

    7. He's a gun rights advocate

    8. He supports marriage equality

    9. He's in favor of returning health-care regulation to the states & will fight any further federalization of health-care policy

    10. He wants to eliminate the car tax, merchant capital tax and other business taxes

    11. He supports open and competitive markets that reward value-creation and operate under the rule of law

    12. He's in favor of drug reform and ending the War on Drugs

    13. He's not stuck in the 1930's, trying to peddle his social agenda like Ken Cuccinelli

    14. He's not under any investigations like Mcauliffe is

    15. He's a great alternative to the two-party system, which can't agree on anything

    16. He hasn't sold his soul to the devil—a.k.a. to lobbyists, big corporations, etc.

    17. And finally, Robert Sarvis chooses not to run a negative campaign like Cuccinelli and Mcauliffe's
