    Walmart's Gold Van Goes Viral

#copasgoldenvan has taken over a small city outside of Phoenix.

Maricopa, Arizona is located south of Phoenix.

One late February morning, someone seemingly left their minivan double-parked behind another vehicle, sparking complaints on several Facebook pages dedicated to the city.

This seems like a good spot for a van.

Slowly but surely, friends from around the area decided it would be fun to pose with the van.

Naturally, a Facebook page was dedicated to the van, affectionately referred to as "Goldie."

    Currently with over 1,200 members

And because it's the internet, word spread fast.

The van quickly became an inanimate ~celebrity~

    Some brought their pets...

    Others plugged their business...

Some made sure to get everyone involved, even though they're out of town to miss the excitement.

An entire cheer squad strutted their stuff in front of the van.

With news of the van spreading, the question everyone asked was, "Seriously, you guys. Who does this van belong to?"

Local authorities were contacted, as well as Walmart. It was discovered the owner lived in Phoenix.

Word spread to local news outlets, and even to CNN.

    Friends were made...

    Young love blossomed...

    Jedi mind tricks, in place...

    The community really stepped up.

Impromptu gatherings formed, and residents mingled around the golden van.

A blip on the map, Maricopa's own have bonded over a stranded van in a Walmart parking lot.

"Feeling that town spirit, I decided to go introduce myself to my new neighbors from Wisconsin. With great pride and excitement I then proceeded to tell them all about ‪#‎copasgoldenvan"

UPDATE: The gold van has been towed and residents have been in contact with the owner.

Within just a few hours, the truck quickly filled up. Humanity, restored.
