This is a stupid post. Language is an abstract and changeable thing. As long as there is a mutual understanding as to which object a noun refers to among people who speak a given language then calling said object by that word is not “wrong.”

What’s wrong with wanting a smaller government, lower taxes, private medicine, and a more fundamental following of the constitution as our founding fathers wrote it?! There’s nothing stupid about that. There’s not going to be complete agreement on it, but they aren’t stupid ideas. Some of the other more extreme signs could be offensive, but even then a few have clever jokes. I think this piece should be retitled to have less of a liberal bias, after all this is just a comedy site.
