Is Jessica going to accept your bid because you're just really not sure, but you KNOW she would be SUCH a good fit! Honestly, you can totally see her being your Little! OMG YOU CAN'T BELIEVE YOU GET A LITTLE! You've been dreaming of this day all of your life! What can you craft her? You HAVE to make her the best crafts. You spend the next hour on Pinterest looking for ~paddle inspiration~.

2. You snoop.

You probably won "Social Media Stalker" at Formal last year and if you didn't, you should have. You spend Bid Day Eve searching all avenues of social media to see if your "rush crush" left any clues or hidden messages hinting at which house she chose as her number one preference.

3. You wake-up before your alarm. And your Starbucks.

Any sort of sleep you manage will inevitably be disturbed by your own excitement to meet the new pledges. You're so wired, you won't even need a skinny vanilla latte to wake you up, but you'll probably have one anyway.

Most days, you roll out of bed, throw on your leggings and spirit jersey and rush out the door. NOT TODAY! Every last detail of your outfit is perfectly planned out from Bid Day t-shirt to hair bow. And everything is decked out in your sorority's colors. Just like those awkward family Christmas cards but cuter.

5. You RUN, not walk, to greet your new members.

Remember when you would run downstairs on Christmas morning to open all of your presents? Yea, Bid Day is just like that... except the presents are people. You RUN as soon as you catch a glimpse of your chapter's new pledge class. Immediately hugging, spinning, congratulating and laughing with girls you may not even know by name yet.

Bid Day marks the beginning of an amazing journey that can only be understood by those who are lucky enough to experience sisterhood. Sororities, like Christmas, are often only seen in one fun, shiny, pink light. However, a sorority is so much more than that. The bonds, the memories, the networking, and the life skills gained all add up to something that doesn't just last 4 years, but for life.
