    Charlie Hebdo Memorials: Pens And Pencils, Flowers And Words

    The pen is mightier than the sword, and we are as delicate as flowers.

    I've always been fascinated by the things we leave behind at memorial sites, be they cemeteries, roadsides, or other public places. The objects and notes piling up by the Charlie Hebdo office in the quiet Bastille neighborhood of Paris are in and of themselves emotional and artistic expressions; they seem to bear a universal "I'm sorry it's come to this."
