Two things I accurately predicted about this post: 1) The Zooey Deschanel lemming parade will be pissed about this hilarious post. 2) Someone who makes boring music will definitely sing a boring national anthem.

Okay, so I thought this performance was alright. She definitely lacks dynamics though.. It was like she was singing mezzo forte the whole song. So I can see why some people thought it was boring. Nice tone, but no presence in her performance.

Whatever. Say what you will about her acting or her interviews, but I thought that was beautifully done. Seriously, it was one of the best versions I’ve heard in a long time.

Am I the only one who doesn’t hate her? I don’t love her, but I think she’s a decent actress and I enjoy listening to She & Him. She’s not the best, but she definitely doesn’t deserve the hate.

The best part is that you can still hear a small group of hockey fans scream “STARS!” during the song. Twice. If you’re not from Dallas, you probably won’t get this.

Nothing wrong here. Just ordinary Zooey-bashing that’s been circulating lately. Not that she won’t deserve any critic, just have noticed that trend lately.. And unlike in this case, most of it comes from female bloggers, ain’t that funny?
