Straight Man Turned Away From Blood Center For Seeming Gay

Aaron Pace tried to donate blood, but was rejected for "appearing to be a homosexual." Now this is despite the fact that Pace is a straight man, who just happens to be effeminate. But isn't the really screwed up thing that sexual orientation even comes into play here? Blood banks test all blood for disease already, so how is this not just blatant discrimination?
