Michael Bay Made The Most Awkward Stage Exit Ever

While making his pitch at the annual International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the Transformers director lost his place on the teleprompter and then his cool.

Well, dialogue never has been Michael Bay's thing...

The purveyor of gigantic big screen entertainment was at the big annual tech geek bonaroo known as the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES for short) in Las Vegas, helping Samsung pitch a massive 105-inch curved television to the gathered consumers and press. As you can see in the video above, things did not go according to plan thanks to teleprompter issue, and improvising was just not in the cards.

However, unlike his Transformers star, Shia LaBeouf, Bay immediately owned up to his mistake and posting a mea culpa on his blog explaining just how the presentation got so screwed up.

"Wow! I just embarrassed myself at CES – I was about to speak for Samsung for this awesome Curved 105-inch UHD TV," he wrote. "I rarely lend my name to any products, but this one is just stellar. I got so excited to talk, that I skipped over the Exec VP’s intro line and then the teleprompter got lost. Then the prompter went up and down – then I walked off. I guess live shows aren’t my thing."
