This was actually our training baby, long after the real babies arrived. We lotioned and powdered the doll and used it to prepare our dogs for our daughter's arrival. We'd put it on a blanket on the floor and teach the dogs to lay near, but not on the baby.
He was in a lot of pain. His tumor was growing at a visible rate and starting to separate his ribs. It was also at risk of rupturing internally or externally even. It was a decision we struggled with, but made out of love for Dukey.
