Woodrow Wilson had a tobacco-chewing ram with a flock of sheep to keep the grass down.


William McKinley had a Mexican double-yellow-headed parrot.


James Buchanan had Elephants, a gift from the King of Siam.


John Quincy Adams had an Alligator.


Martin Van Buren had two tiger cubs, a gift from the Sultan of Oman which Congress made him to send to the zoo.


Calvin Coolidge had a pygmy hippo.
