"Mulan" Is Getting A Modern Makeover, And It Needs YOU!

In this modern-day take on the classic Mulan legend, the titular heroine wields a pen instead of a sword. Determined to succeed as a journalist, she takes on a male pseudonym when her writing is rejected for being ‘too feminine’. But she and her best friend Shang soon stumble into a tangle of fame, lies and veiled threats, and holding on to their true identities becomes easier said than done. My Name Is Mulan is about a young girl growing up, the nature of strength, what it means to be an Asian kid in a Western country, and two young people trying to do the right thing, even when it’s hard to tell what that might be.

Shang and Mulan record their adventures in video-diary or ‘vlog’ format. The series will be 20 episodes per season, around 3-4 minutes long.
