Topo Gigio 2 months agoOkay my first response was possibly harsh, but it’s because all the complaints overlook the fact that these are UNIVERSAL experiences. It doesn’t SEEM like it because those others who seem so much more confident got over themselves and realized it. I can say this because in HS, I was incredibly shy, a total twit dweeb, stuck in my own head until I took to heart the greater message of the book I mentioned previously, which is; Everyone is constanly forming an opinion of you. You have the choice to inform their opinion, positively, or not. Just dive in - it get EASIER with Practice!!

Samantha W 2 months agoI once had to sit at a table of all men who I didn’t know. All they talked about was their excitement about growing beards. Then they asked me why I wasn’t contributing the conversation. THE WORST.

#7 happens to me ALL the time. It’s one of my biggest pet peeves. I’m kind of soft spoken anyhow, but when all my friends’ voices are that of thunderous giant footsteps, I get interrupted all the time. Makes me want to high five someone in the face with a steel-toed boot.
