Guess who’s NOT on the list?! You and me! We looked AWFUL in the 90’s! These guys did not.

9. JANET JACKSON

While Poetic Justice Janet deserves some credit, no version of Janet looked more natural and glowing like the Janet from the “Again” video. So soft and happy. And those ABS!

8. ALICIA SILVERSTONE

Alicia in Clueless and those Aerosmith videos had a bit of the later Candace Cameron thing going on. Good length and thickness, nice natural color, and perfection only achievable by the highest ranking cheerleader in your school.

7. PAMELA ANDERSON (SEE ALSO: JENNY MCCARTHY)

You may have rolled your eyes at your boyfriend’s Pamela Anderson poster, but for two seconds, tell me you didn’t wish you were the kind of girl who could rock the slightly-too-long-and-too-bleached porn star hair and run down a beach with your jugglies all out and bouncy. Just me?

6. CLAIRE DANES

The first time I ever dyed my hair, I told my mom I wanted the “Claire Danes”. One box of Clairol Natural Instincts later and I looked nothing like her. Claire’s iconic So-Called Life red was the perfect mix of attainable rebellion that made you feel like you could ask your mom for a box of Clairol Natural Instincts and she would say “why not? It’ll wash out.”

5. THOSE NELSON TWINS

I can’t remember the name of the song the Nelson twins sang, but I will always remember their unicorn-mane-like hair. When Rumplestiltskin spun straw into gold, it was stored in a barn for hundreds of years, and was later made love upon by a maiden, who in turn gave birth to the Nelson twins, who were born with the golden straw upon their heads. Look it up.

4. BRANDY

Brandy will always be remembered 1) as Moesha and 2) for her thick, sleek head of the most amazing braids ever woven upon a head. Like a crown of mystical snakes, NEVER can you say you saw a hair out of place on her magical, magical head.

3. LEONARDO DICAPRIO

You remember, the Romeo + Juliet years? Oh, that was the best. Leo’s hair was THE teen heartthrob look of the 90’s, imitated (Jonathan Brandis (RIP), everyone on Boy Meets World) but never duplicated. This is how I choose to remember Leonardo. Before he grew up and started looking like a guy who would be named Leonardo.

2. CANDACE CAMERON

She could wear it straight, she could wear it permy, but either way, YOU WANTED IT. So long, so flowy, and always with a feeling of ease. Nothing at all like the mess you put up in a scrunchie halfway through the school day because you couldn’t stand to wear your hair down for ONE MORE SECOND!

1. JENNIFER ANISTON

The undeniable Queen of the 90's Hair. We’ve all heard the story of how the “Rachel” launched a million trips to local Hair Cutteries, but what they don’t tell you is how this face-framing layered style is STILL used today. Just a lot more subtly. Look closely - your girl probably still has a hint of this cut.
