    The Little Mermaid -- IRL

Ever wonder if you could become a Disney princess? Artist Jen Page believes you can!

Jen Page is an artist/actress/model currently obsessed with mermaids. She started designing and creating mermaid tails and costume accessories over a year ago for a personal photo series project. During that time, she was inspired to do a Steampunk Ariel photo shoot.

Being a big fan of The Little Mermaid story and the film, she decided not to stop there. Inspired by many of the movie's iconic scenes, she attempted to recreate them as reverently as possible.

    Warm on the Sand

Jen made her own shell bra and hand-painted her mermaid tail to get the look she wanted for the photo series. Her tail has individually painted scales that require about 5 to 6 passes of different colors.

    Steampunk Ariel

Steampunk Ariel- Jen created the majority of the steampunk elements for her costume design. She adores steampunk and the idea that you can take known characters and run them through the steampunk filter.

What's next for Jen? She is constantly creating new photo series involving Steampunk, cosplay and fantasy. Follow her on Tumblr or Facebook for weekly updates and to geek around with her.
