These Cops Took Care Of A Sick Woman's Five Children When She Went To The Hospital

Going above and beyond the call of duty.

Two Dutch police officers are getting a lot of worldwide attention after a photo of their selfless act was posted on Facebook.

The officers in Eindhoven, Netherlands, were responding to a call of a woman who was taken to the hospital, but had five children at home with no one to watch them. That's when the officers decided to take matters into their own hands.

    The Facebook post reads:

"The other side of police work"

Last week our colleagues got an alert in Woensel-Noord. An ambulance had to attend to a woman who was suffering from a hypo, her blood sugar was way too low. The woman was driven to the hospital for monitoring but there were five young children in the home.

Because the policemen had some time to wait before they could hand the kids over to someone and the kids hadn't eaten yet, the officers made them something to eat.

Our colleagues made them egg sandwiches and some fruit, and they made sure to do all the dishes afterwards.

The Eindhoven Police Department posted the photo, along with the officers' story, to its Facebook page, where it quickly went viral.
