Corny intro dialogue aside, this sharp, dark song is a standout on an album filled with lighthearted love songs.

This deeply emotional song is featured in her 1991 documentary, "Truth or Dare", and can be heard in a scene where Madonna visits her mother's grave during a tour stop in Michigan.

This extremely dark, sexual, and yet (strangely) lighthearted song features lines like, "Colonel Sanders said it best, finger-licking good."

The opening track to the extremely underrated "Bedtime Stories" album is a prime example of mid-'90's R&B.

Often hailed as a turning point in pop music, Madonna's 1998 album "Ray of Light" is a masterpiece that still sounds progressive in 2014. The album closer, "Mer Girl", is a haunting ballad about her (then) current life, her childhood in Michigan, and her mother's death.

    "Impressive Instant" from "Music"

"Impressive Instant" was almost released as the final single off of "Music", but it was scrapped at the last minute. This thumping dance song was a definite standout on an album that fused country music with electronica long before Avicii did it.

"Forbidden Love" from "Confessions on a Dance Floor"

This sparkling, disco-inspired track opens the second half of "Confessions..." which contains the deeper, spirituality infused disco tracks, that the "Hung Up" led first half was missing.

    "Candy Shop" from "Hard Candy"

"Candy Shop" opened M's record breaking "Sticky and Sweet Tour" and was so good, it was one of the few 'older' tracks to make it onto the setlist for her controversial "MDNA Tour" in 2012. Plus, some guy named Pharrell produced it. Maybe you've heard of him?

    "Gang Bang" from "MDNA"

This is one dark, disturbing, campy, NSFW song. The title is purposefully deceiving, (in typical Madonna fashion), as it refers to the large amount of people who worked on the song. It was written for Madonna by Mika, and was originally titled "Bang Bang", before Madonna changed the name. Notably, it reunites M with William Orbit, who helmed the epic "Ray of Light", and the result is a musical revenge fantasy about a scorned lover exacting revenge on her ex. Just make sure to stick to headphones when blasting this one.
