Women's Football is Wicked.

With the Women's World Cup in Canada just around the corner. Here's a few things that make women's football really awesome.

OK, so it may not have had the worldwide audience that it's recent male equivalent had. But it was still first against second in a tightly fought, open contest. It was an end to end contest with plenty of chances. The 0-0 scoreline doesn't really tell the whole story.

Manchester City's Toni Duggan scored this incredible volley on the last day of the 2014 FA WSL season. Going into the final day, three clubs, Chelsea, Bristol Academy and Liverpool could all have won the title. This goal helped send the tile toward Merseyside.

Going into the game Chelsea could have won the title. But defeat to Chelsea and results elsewhere sent the title to Liverpool. Manchester City had won the Continental Cup that season, Toni Duggan still found time to comfort her England team mate after the game,

The Lionesses qualifying record the World Cup was P10, W10, F51, A1 GD +50 PTS 30. THEY SCORED FIFTY ONE GOALS!!!

Booking tickets to a Premier League game can be akin to a military operation. Have you got enough loyalty points? Has your mate? Have you got a spare £300 for a ticket? You have? Awesome, let's go to the game. Oh, wait... They've moved the kick off to 3am on a Tuesday for TV viewers in Tonga....

None of this happens in the Women's Super League. Games tend kick off at 7:30 on a Thursday or 2pm on a Sunday, with some kicking off t 6pm on a Sunday. And you don't need to book in advance. You can just turn up! And you can go and stand behind the other goal for the second half. It's that wonderful world our parents told us about that we thought had died forever.
