Reasons To Draft Bryce Cotton In GIFS

Providence College PG Bryce Cotton is one of the most talented players in the draft. If you haven't heard of him, you will in the near future. Friar fans know how electric he can be on the court and its a shame Cotton is getting barely any attention (he currently is projected to possibly be a late second round pick.) So if you don't know who he is or need proof why he can play in the NBA, here are the best examples exhibiting Cotton's ability to not only play in the NBA, but to succeed in the league.

The Kid Has Hops

Listed as 6'1 (YES, ONLY SIX FOOT ONE) Cotton can jump out of the arena. While many think Cotton is too small for the league, he has a 40 inch vertical. Anyone who has seen him play knows that his height has never hindered him from tearing up opponents.

He Can Do it All

Cotton was forced to play PG this year and to say he succeeded is the understatement of the century. As a Senior, Cotton led the Big East in assists while still averaging 22 points a game. Using his speed and handling to open up space, much like in the above GIF.

He Has ICE In His Veins

No one is cooler under pressure than Bryce Cotton. He's dropped so many daggers he is wanted for murder in 5 states. The other team knows it's coming and yet they still can't defend it. His clutch plays have earned him the nickname Bryce "ICE" Cotton because truthfully he might have ice in his veins. Sealed up a game against Marquette on Senior Night with 2 last second free throws, hit a runner under ten seconds on the road to get the win against St. Johns, and has hit tons of buzzer beaters in his Friar career. Oh, and than theres this gem one from Villanova during his Junior Year.

Cotton is known for his clutch 3 point shooting but Bryce Cotton is by no means a one dimensional player. In fact, for a 6'1 player, there may not be a efficient scorer in the draft. Don't believe me ? Watch the above GIF.

As if his dunks and crazy drives weren't enough, Cotton is an absolute work horse. He averaged 40.2 minutes during Big East play. There are only 40 minutes in a game. This GIF pretty much sums up what Cotton can bring to the NBA.

"I have a very strong faith in God that my mother and my grandmother instilled in me since a young age. I knew I was doing everything in my power — good grades, worked hard, I had the talent and I had the faith — so I figured it was only a matter of time before something came through. The situation was definitely frustrating to go through, especially an entire senior year and all that with just no luck. I always kept the faith, and I know that's one of the reasons I've been able to succeed at this level."
