In the fall of 2009, Ivan completed his undergraduate degree at The University of Texan-Pan American with BA in Journalism/Public Relations. During the years preceding the completion of his bachelor of arts degree Iván developed his skills in media relations, social networking, small business identity development, small business branding, economical advertising alternatives for entrepreneurs, graphic design, project consulting, copy writing/editing, photography, web design and new media engagement. Iván a self-dubbed media aficionado believes that fusing todays technology with time-proven advertising ideals and techniques allows for the businesses message to be delivered with both quality and effective emphasis. A view adopted by Iván is that a business's line of sight should not be clouded by the short term projections or short term profit gains; the overarching goal should be long-term success, growth, financial solvency and a standard level of quality and service that places the business more than an arms length from its competitors. The small business drives the national and local economy and its success is built on the maintenance and development of personal relationships. Personal relationships in Ivan's view are not to be taken lightly by the business owner, manager or director. The never ending wave of technologically facilitated and mediated communication is driven by individuals, individuals whom the business must engage as part of their network. The penguin obsessed Silva has a dry sarcastic wit that often times is accented by a sharp tongue lashing out. At first glance Iván can appear to be quiet and reserved,sometimes even solemn, but in reality he is quite the character quickly learning and adapting his interaction with each person he is interacting with; this allows him to provide a special level of immediacy and allow individuals who know him to be aware of the importance their interactions are. At the present time you will seldom find Iván galavanting through town but you are sure to come across him Moleskine in-hand in mid laugh and conversation as he moves on to the next project in his lap. Iván's personal motto and mantra is, "Today in your life, there are no regrets," a regret is wanting to erase a part of the uniqueness that makes you who you are today.
