90 Year-Old Israeli President Shimon Peres Uses The Internet Better Than You Do

President Shimon Peres broke the Guinness World Record, speaking to 9000 high school students across Israel for the largest online civics class.

This is Shimon Peres. He has 35k followers on Twitter, 267k likes on his Facebook Page and is the world's oldest state leader. He is universally loved. We're lucky even if our grandparents can use the Google at all.

The Nobel Peace Prize winner broke a Guinness World Record on Thursday when delivered the largest online civics class ever. President Peres used Cisco's technology headquartered in Netanya, Israel that reached 9,000 high school students in hundreds of classrooms. Senior Vice President of Guinness World Records Mr. Marco Frigatti verified the record attempt in person.

"Israel is a small country and as young people you are in competition with young people all over the world, you have to excel," said President Peres. "Each of you has more potential than you realize. If you study you will soon learn your qualities and that you can achieve things you never thought possible. As citizens of Israel the most important thing is to preserve your values – it is easier to love the other than to hate."

This is not the President's first time owning the internet. Few world leaders know the key to getting an important message across is to make a dub-step remix to it. Last year, Peres launched a music "Be My Friend For Peace" featuring him hugging Hillary, chilling with Sarkozy, laughing with Seinfeld and taking fashion advice from Sarah Jessica Parker.

Last year, President Peres noted that Jews, the "People of the Book" are now the "People of Facebook."
