January. It comes around every year, and we hate it. It's never as fun as any of the other months, and it tries to change us for the better.

1. January Has Made You Hungry

Even though you've been stuffing your face all December, you just cannot stop snacking. Healthy snacking, obviously.

2. January Thinks Now Is The Best Time To Start Exercising

Every year it tries to seduce us into the gym, and every year it does so to thousands of us.

3. January Is Punishing You For Spending All Your Money In December

All that money you spent on Christmas gifts to one up your siblings and friends has now come back to bite you on the butt.

4. January Is All Smug About Being Teetotal

Gosh, look at me I'm January. I don't drink, I exercise and always eat healthy (with the odd cheat meal here and there). January is so smug, that it thinks it can re-brand as Dry January and then encourage everyone to start preaching about being alcohol free on its behalf!

5. January Is A Loner

Remember how alive your social life was in December? Well say bye to that. You won't be seeing any friends in January because they'll all be avoiding the temptation in the big bad world. They're also all broke from trying to outspend you on gifts.

6. January Ruins Birthdays For Those Born During Its Reign

Got a birthday in January? Well have fun celebrating it on your own. All your friends will be too busy on diets/doing Dry January/being miserable.

7. January Doesn't Feel The Cold

January doesn't care that you are cold. It expects you to wrap yourself up, and then it pushes you around at gale force winds, making it look as though you don’t own a hairbrush.

8. January Is A Kill Joy

You know all those thing you like doing for the rest of the year? Stop doing them. All of them. All at once. That’ll teach you for having fun.
