These Rich Guys Want To Kill Homeless Cats
A filthy rich resort called Portofino on Pensacola Beach, Florida, has been home to 12 "community" cats for the past 4 years. The cats are feral but friendly to condo owners and have done a good job keeping any vermin out of the area. A local animal rescue group, Emerald Coast Animal Allies, voluntarily paid out of pocket to have the 12 cats spayed, neutered, and caught up on rabies shots and vaccines under an agreement with Portofino management that the cats be allowed to live on the property. This July, management decided to break that agreement and has set traps on the resort grounds in order to kill the cats. The rescue group has begged for a list of grievances to no avail. Here's how you can help: Sign the petition below http://www.change.org/petitions/don-t-kill-the-portofino-cats# and call the resort to complain to management.
