The United State's women national team striker, Alex Morgan, has been lighting up the hearts of everyone since her appearance in the 2011 World Cup. She has received hundreds of wedding proposals online over the past few years, but finally decided to accept one on Monday night.
Morgan announced her engagement to the online world by posting a picture of her and future husband, Houston Dynamo's Servando Carrasco, on Instagram and Twitter.
Morgan's engagement was immediately met with criticism as heartbreaking tweets from all over the web started to pour in.
