Top 5 Pop Songs Made By Porn Stars

Porn stars have tried to extend their dubious fame by bum rushing the music industry for years. Here’s our top 5 most notorious examples of porn going pop featuring Ron Jeremy, Traci Lords, Sasha Grey and others (Hustler Magazine):

    • 1. Ron Jeremy - "Freak Of The Week"

Ron Jeremy rapping?!?! In 1998, DJ Polo brought aboard the "hedgehog" to rap on Freak of the Week from his debut album, Polo's Playhouse. The album also included other gems like "Money, Cars & The Bitches" and "Playaz Lounge". What's completely mystifying about this video, other than Ron Jeremy's rapping skills is guest appearances by Corey Feldman, John Wayne Bobbit, Joey Buttafuaco, Lemmy Kilmister, and Ice-T.

    • 2. Traci Lords - "Control"

Traci Lords was no stranger to the record industry by the time she released the 1995 album 1,000 Fires. In 1992 she contributed vocals to Manic Street Preacher's album Generation Terrorists and the 1993 Ramones album Acid Eaters. "Control" was the "hit" off her album, it eventually appeared on the Mortal Kombat soundtrack.

    • 3. Marco Banderas - "The P*orn Life"

Though not as notorious as Ron Jeremy, Marco Banderas has been a go-to porno swordsman for the past two decades. Trying to cash in on his "Latin Lover" mystique, Banderas released "The P*orn Life" in an attempt to drum up mainstream interest. Who knows, he could be a huge star is his native Uruguay.

    • 4. Marilyn Chambers - "Benihana"

One of the original porn superstars, Marilyn Chambers did a lot in her life. From being an Ivory Snow spokesmodel to starring in one of the best pornos off all-time; 19722s Behind the Green Door. Ms. Chambers was a true renaissance woman. Add to her career, disco songstress. In 1976 she put out the single Benihana on Roulette Records. I know the song is supposed to be sexy, but with a name like Benihana it just makes me hungry for Japanese food. Here is the only example of the song we could find on the web in video form - a strange mash up with serial killers, go figure.

    • 5. Sasha Grey as aTelecine - "Smuggler"

It's well known that Sasha Grey has a dark side. A girl who looks innocent, but will literally beg to be treated like a dog while being double penetrated, certainly has some issues. Definitely not a pop song, Smuggler from Sasha Greys self described post-punk, acousmatic, tape music, black metal aTelecine project is worth a mention. The song sounds like an 8th grader raging against their parents, the suburbs, and the jocks who keep them down - its a really boring song. (via Hustler Magazine)
