6 Ways to Love Your Pet

February 20 is "Love Your Pet Day" and there are lots of ways to celebrate those furry bundles of joy on this day and every day!

1. Give them presents (even small ones)

What’s great about Love Your Pet Day is that you don’t need to sacrifice yourself to make someone happy (Yeah, we're looking at you Valentine’s Day…).

2. Buy them new clothes and accessories

New pajamas, tiaras or pirate outfits - the sky is the limit so is their predisposition to accept it, of course.

3. Give them some warmth

You love to snuggle in cozy blankets and pets think they're human, so share!

4. Take them on vacation

You'd think sleeping all day long and being fed is easy, but it can really take it outta ya! They can use some fresh air and a break from the ordinary.

5. Get the family involved – in small doses

Small kids and pets don’t always jibe. Pulled tails and scratched skin do not a happy Love Your Pets Day make.

6. And obviously, just tell your pet you love them

If you’re a dog owner, you can surely expect them to reciprocate. If you’re a cat owner, you’d better fill the food bowl.
