Thank you for a great article and for addressing this issue head-on. There are many of us in this same boat - and, motherhood has brought us greater joy and fulfillment than anything else could possibly have.  I think that the bottom line for most of us- is our belief in a living Prophet of God on earth. We believe him to be an oracle of God and we do all we can to obey (coupled with personal prayer and inspiration). As a single-parent I’ve had to find creative ways to be able to heed this counsel (which I desired to do). I knew that my circumstances warranted me working outside the home. But, with much fasting and prayer I have been able to work from home and do creative things to provide for my family. It’s come at great sacrifice but with much peace. My children have had the stability they needed and we have become closer as a family in working-together to make-ends meet. That has been a sweet outcome of the challenges.
