Okay, they’re not all great directors but in those cases, I’m sure you’ll agree, their beards more than make up for it. Furthermore, none of the above examples are half-assed moustaches (apologies to Tarkovsky and John Waters) or anything of that sort. Although, this year did see the launch of the first moustache film festival, Stache Fest 2012, which is a start towards the recognition of facial hair in the realm of film. But come on, let’s go the whole hog like these guys. Here’s to Beard Fest 2013.
