The Movie Fifty Shades Of Grey Fans Need To Watch

Christian Grey comes to the big screen in less than 100 days but John Gray graced us with his sexy grin almost 30 years ago in the erotic film 9 1/2 Weeks.

A new teaser trailer for Fifty Shades of Grey was just released. In anticipation of the film, check out this Adrian Lyne classic from the 80s. *Spoiler Alert*

Meet John Gray and Elizabeth McGraw.

John is rich, mysterious, and charming with a penchant for kinky sex.

Elizabeth is a soft-spoken divorcee who works in an art gallery.

    The sparks fly immediately.

He makes his intentions clear but she initially hesitates.

He courts her with expensive gifts, affection oh and blindfolds- the usual.

His attention gives her confidence and her submission gives him control.

There's no contract, just an understanding that she should do as she's told.

She takes on some control when she puts on a show for John.

And what's a good show without popcorn?

Like any Dom, he likes to control her even when he's not around.

He's got her all hot and bothered.

He's all about tantalizing the senses.

He doesn't tell her about his past but she can't help her curiosity.

His form of punishment is right up Christian's alley.

The infamous kitchen scene is the food equivalent of FSOG's Spem In Alium.

    It's hot...

    no, I mean REALLY hot...

    Like I said.

Forget the inner goddess, he likes to tempt her to indulge her inner bad girl.

But like any good bad boy he also knows how to balance it with romantic gestures.

He puts the "play" in role play.

    He doesn't hold back.

    The act doesn't last long.

After they exit the restaurant they are chased by two homophobes who assume she's really a man.

But he eventually takes it too far.

This is not a love story after all.

John tries to be all "hearts and flowers" but it's too late.

His controlling behavior remains as she walks away.

Alas, we'll always have the kitchen scene.
