17 Things Only Children Want You To Know

We're not all spoilt loners who don't know how to share.

    1. Growing up an only child doesn't mean you get everything you want.

    2. Especially if you have strict parents.

    3. And it doesn't necessarily mean you're spoilt or bratty either.

    4. Only children aren't always lonely.

    5. And it's not as boring as people think.

    6. Often we have a lot of friends who make up for our lack of siblings.

    7. But knowing we'll never get to be an aunt or an uncle makes us feel melancholy.

    8. We appreciate our cousins way more than you'd imagine.

    9. Contrary to popular belief, not all only children are selfish and don't know how to share.

    10. Although when it comes to food, that's debatable.

    11. Sometimes we envy bigger families.

    12. But many of us are lucky enough to be close to our parents instead.

    13. Learning to be independent is great, but not having a sibling to lean on can be hard.

    14. We're not all clueless around babies.

    15. There can be a lot of pressure when you're an only child.

    16. So we don't always feel as lucky as people claim we are.

    17. But being an only child isn't as terrible as people assume either.
