Because you're really, really bad at whispering.

Spending your entire time at school being told off for talking too loudly.

Having an insatiable desire to provide extra loud commentary when you’re watching a movie in a silent cinema.

Having the loudest laugh of all your friends.

And constantly having to apologise it.

Feeling like you’re genuinely going to explode when someone has the nerve to shush you.

Or worse, gesture at you to "keep it down."

Not being able to be around sleeping children because you're a menace to their peace and quiet.

Being asked if you’re feeling OK when you’re suddenly quiet.

Having your loud voice misinterpreted as anger.

And regularly having to set the record straight.

Constantly being told by people that they can hear you before they see you.

Feeling personally attacked whenever you enter a situation that forbids noise.

Unintentionally preventing people from getting a word in edgeways because your voice is so overpowering.

Losing all ability to regulate your voice when excited or drunk.

And being told to calm down when you are COMPLETELY, TOTALLY CALM.
