There Are Mutant, Irradiated Butterflies In Japan

An alarming new study shows that large numbers of butterflies are exhibiting abnormalities in the wake of the nuclear disaster in Japan. Nearly 30% of pale grass blue butterflies are exhibiting deformities such as this fellow, and more than half of their offspring are similarly mutated. posted on August 14, 2012 at 10:58am EDT
