BlueSerenade 6 months agoI can’t believe the amount of people who base their voting on the attitude of the candidates. Seriously. If that’s your deciding factor, you need to just completely abstain. There’s a lot more at stake here than people boohooing about the how the candidates treated each other during a debate.

elisea3 7 months ago1. Bayonets are not actually used anymore, they’re symbolic. 2. You don’t know shit about the Navy, nor did you actually see what the President said. He didn’t say we didn’t need ships; he said we have plenty of other things, like aircraft carriers and nuclear subs, that means we don’t need as many ships. Reading Comprehension 101, dude.

The US does NOT need as many ships as in 1916, America’s ships are now larger (aircraft carriers that are the size of small airports) and most of the tasks that the Navy did in 1916 are now done by aircraft, satillites and robot drones. You don’t need ships to ferry troops back and forth across oceans, ONE Boeing 747 can ferry the same number of passengers the Lusitania did, at a fraction of the cost. And the American navy is large and well funded enough to basically sink any other navy on the planet.

Without an overwhelming vote advantage the Dems will lose, the GOP has just gotten way too good at cheating. They own the voting machines and software. They are cheating on voter registration nationwide. Not to mention the blatant disenfrachisement in Florida, Ohio, etc., as well as the “accidentally” misprinted Spanish-language voter guides in Arizona, etc. etc. etc. If it’s a close race the GOP fix is in and will prevail. Watch it happen on the 7th.
