Demonstrating that the new owners really don't understand social media, Get Glue has terminated their agreement to mail physical stickers to users. In a blog post on November 27th, this change was announced and informed members that the new stickers would be animated gifs. Moreover, stickers that had been earned by providing social media connection were no longer available.
The general consensus of Get Glue-ers is that there is no point to Get Glue sans physical stickers. Since the site really doesn't have any purpose other than as a launching point to other social media sites a mass defection as a result of this violation of trust with users may make this site another internet ghost town.
