5 Strange Foods That Cats Love Eat!

Hey guys, it's Alec the Science Kid here! Cat's like other foods, too. Other than a clump of mushy wet cat food or that dry, hard stuff shaped as x's and o's. In fact, cats love a huge variety of delicious sweet delicacies! Listed below are 10 food items that you probably had no clue your cat would want to chomp on. Please, do not test feeding a variety of different foods on your own cats or anyone else's. Some foods are harmful and should be researched if healthy for them before you feed it to them. 1. Bananas!

If you've got a crazy and wild kitty cat, you can make it behave even more bananas by feeding them the actual fruit. Bananas are a 100% safe and healthy snack to feed your hungry cat if it has that special craving that we sometimes do. Bananas should be fed to your cat only in small portions, since cats are natural carnivores which mean that they love, love, love to eat meat (Explains why one my cats always happens to bring birds and mice in the house!)!

2. Spinach!

If your cat just so happens to be craving some green stuff, spinach can be an awesome way to go, especially when you are trying to help your pet relieve tummy troubles when they're barfing all over the house. Spinach should not be fed to cats with a history of urinary or kidney problems (In my cat's case, i wont be able to feed her spinach since she always has urinary tract infections), since the calcium oxalates in the leaf can form crystals in the urinary tract.

3. Watermelon!

Watermelons are a good bite to feed cats to stop them from chewing and killing all of the house plants. Cantaloupe, honeydew and watermelon are fine for your cat to ingest in small quantities, as long as seeds are removed from the melon. The fruits can help your feline with any type of digestive problems, but should be offered only every once in a while because cats are carnivorous and their bodies can't digest large amounts of plants. They're not built for plants, they're bulit for meat.

4. Eggs!

Give your cat a real breakfast early in the morning by serving up some good ol' fresh eggs. Scrambled and hard-boiled eggs are excellent for giving your little kitty cat a dose of protein. Just be careful not to use any butter, oil or cooking spray during the preparation of the eggs that you are planning to hand over to your kitties.

Most vets will tell to stay away from the raw eggs, though. Since the same food-borne illnesses that affect humans can upset the stomachs of pets as well.

5. Broccoli!

A cat's diet is completely dependent on protein which is mostly found in meat, but sometimes they get a huge craving for veggies just as humans do with junk food such as heart clogging potato chips and icecream. If you notice your cat chomping and using your house plants as a full diner course, try feeding it a small portion of fresh steamed broccoli. This could satisfy their desire for greens and keep them away from having a diner date night with your plants. Veggies, like plants and grass, can also help your cat clear up digestive troubles. Which explains why sometimes you might catch your kitty cat eating the grass in your front/back yard.
