Barack Obama walks you through his brackets for the NCAA basketball tournament. He says he's going to try and catch as many games as he can during the NATO summit. Which is kind of endearing and kind of worrying at the same time.

Certainly this is no worse than Bush going golfing every damn day when we were engrossed in war. Whether the Dow is up or down a couple hundred points is irrelevant; we're in a recession. One of Obama's greatest pros is that he truly seems to be a man of the people. He loves B-ball. Is that so bad? Jackson used to leave his office daily to go to horse races. Lincoln was a theatre junkie, however, that ultimately was his downfall. :( Nearly every president since has fled his “presidential duties” to vacation at Camp David. Obama, since taking office, has been a constant fixture in the White House. So what if he shares his passion with the people and thus connects with a nation that could use a little relaxation! Personally, I think it was a wonderful thing for him to share. And ask yourself this, if Obama had been playing in a park with his kids for an hour, would everybody at Fox News have been in such an uproar? Relaxation time is relaxation time. I just feel flattered that he included me in it.

Horace SMASH! Dow when he took office: 7,949. Dow when you posted: 7,487. So even by your own metrics, you're wrong, though I wouldn't go so far as calling you 'ignorant,' or a ''douchebag.' But let's say it was 7,950 at the closing bell yesterday, or even 20,000, it'll hardly matter when we're bringing wheelbarrows of money to the grocery store due to the inflation the fed just caused by printing a ton more of it (which is reflected in the graph I posted). My point, simply, is that we have bigger problems than basketball, and was echoing Jack's sentiment that catching games during a NATO conf. is “kind of endearing and kind of worrying at the same time,” although admittedly I'm sure Jack is a bigger fan of Obama's than I am, which is fine. Sorry I made you guys mad. I'll try not to offer counterpoints in the future. That being said, I'll continue to welcome nutsacks on my forehead.

And hey, if you're lucky, maybe Scotty Rasmussen will make you another laughably misleading graph so you can keep Mean Ole' Mr. Cognitive Dissonance from hurting that soft, little head of yours. Maybe compare “Sort Maybe Approve of Obama” vs. “Sort Maybe Disapprove of Obama?” After all, who needs all the relevant data when arbitrarily selective exclusion makes you a prettier picture!

John, now that the Dow is higher than it was when he took office, I'm glad you've found another arbitrary metric to be a disingenuous (or is it just ignorant?) douchebag about. I look forward to your “argument” changing next week too!
