Gawd I hate the news media. I don’t particularly feel too strongly about Weiner one way or the other, and of course his twitter mishap should not be off-limits as far as questions from the press are concerned - but we all know that the media will do nothing but ask him about his dick pics, despite the fact that he’s running for mayor, and a reporters job includes informing the public about the positions of the candidates running for office.

I agree with you to an extent. However, this country also has an obesity epidemic. And i think you’d agree that we don’t have a skeletal skinny people epidemic. And the obesity epidemic actually is harmful to society at large given the health-related problems that arise from it tend to affect our already astronomical health costs. I am not into “fat-shaming,” but pretending that obesity has no greater impact is incorrect.

I don’t give two shits about A&F. Never stepped foot inside their stores, don’t plan on it (I may be wrong, but I get the impression that mostly douche bags tend to wear such clothes). But seriously, with all the wretched shit going on in the world - and in this country - this is what this girl (and all the people getting outraged over this) chooses to focus her energies on? Hunger, inequality, poor education, environmental degradation, war…I could go on.
