    Tavis Smiley and Vengeful Rage

Smiley will forever be smitten with anger about Obama's meteoric rise on the world stage. On this joyous occasion where many Americans celebrate Obama second inauguration as a true testament that we've come a long way in America, Tavis goes through great lengths in his piece to attack.

Tavis Smiley will forever be smitten with anger about Obama's meteoric rise on the world stage. On this joyous occasion where many Americans celebrate Obama second inauguration as a true testament that we've come a long way in America, Tavis goes through great lengths in his piece to attack.

Recently he wrote one the Sunday Morning CBS Show:

"And while I can appreciate the president's fascination with King's legacy of unarmed truth and unconditional love, I'm feeling some sort of way about King being used symbolically for public pomp and circumstance, but disregarded substantively when it comes to public policy."

Mr. Smiley we're still feeling the impact of Lincoln's presidency hundreds of years later. Two presidential terms in office will not do Obama's Presidency justice. I reckon it will take many years to analyze Obama Administrations impact. It is hard for me to believe you don't understand the political capital expended in Obama's first term for the Affordable Care Act. Obama has affirmatively ended long standing policies on immigration and gay rights.

    Tavis wrote:

"In the spirit of MLK, President Obama should rethink the random use of his favorite weapon - the unmanned aerial vehicle, better known as "drones," which have killed too many innocent women and children."

I suppose you and other opponents will use the administrations usage of aerial drones as being callous and reckless against human life. On the other hand when you consider the targets and the fact that he championed a draw-down of both wars before it was politically expedient to do so, you should realize the larger aim is to save lives and protect our homeland.

On this historic occasion even Fox News and staunch conservatives have buried their hatchet, but the fact that you have used the occasion to attack is very telling since Obama's entire campaign was about the poor and middle class in America. He has championed the cause of all Americans.

If former Governor Mitt Romney was being sworn in today how would you have written your article? I can't help but think you'd be in great spirits right about now. If it was your decision on who would be the next President wouldn't you have chosen Governor Romney?
